Music and holidays go together like fish and hushpuppies. Imagine a three-day weekend with warm afternoons, starlit nights and rockin’ live music on the river. Friday, May 26 – Arrive at Swan Bay early evening and get settled in. Head around the corner to the Dew Drop In for dinner and some kickin’ live music or grab their family pack of pulled pork for a meal under the stars at the campground. Pace yourself, you’ve got the entire weekend.
Saturday, May 27 – The early bird gets the worm. Start the day with some fishing on legendary Kentucky Lake. We’re less than a mile from there! Grab some lunch at the gorgeous, new Paris Landing State Park Lodge, just 10 minutes away. In the afternoon, explore Land Between the Lakes (LBL)
Nestled between Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake, this National Recreation Area is just across the bridge. Families adore the Nature Station, 1850s Homeplace and Golden Pond Planetarium…did we mention the great hiking, bison and elk?
If you’re ready for a delicious meal and more music, choose from Blues Landing, the Dew Drop In, the Breakers at Swan Bay, or Meo Mios for some of the best food and tunes in the area.
Sunday, May 28 – Hey, quit packing, you don’t have to leave yet…THANK YOU MEMORIAL DAY!!! If breakfast is your favorite meal, you’re in luck! Esha’s Country Kitchen and the Four-Way Grill are ready to serve you.
Spend the rest of your day on the Tennessee River or splashing in scenic Standing Rock Creek. Travel by boat or by water to the Pirates Liar and Fat Daddy’s. Located across the river, these two venues offer live music, delicious food, festive atmospheres, and fun photo ops.
